To the OP I'm a little confused, you said you were looking for opinions and advice, and then, you said you were thinking about buying, and then, that they were building you a set. All in the same day (about 3 hrs to be exact). That's a lot to have changed in such a short time.

Doesn't seem like you care much about the warnings and pictures of failure either.

So really what is the purpose of the post? Being that you live up the street from the company, and are a new poster, I could draw an assumption, but maybe I'm missing something...

 

For $6K-$10K I would expect wheels that would last the lifetime of my car, if not my lifetime. No carbon fiber wheels for me.

 

Nope,the spokes are bolted to the barrel with 40nm of torque...its good to check for tightness every time you change tires...At least i do so...
