Carbon Fiber Wheels

Carbon Fiber Wheels
I would like some advice or input on what everyone thinks about Carbon Fiber wheels. I have chance to get a set from a new company and just would like some input. I am not a vendor or trying to sell anything.
I read up and checked out some old post here.

The wheels I am thinking of buying are a different than the dynomag's/HRE's. But still the same CF barrel with an Alum center.

Yes, I thought about that. They showed me there shop and there testing so I am okay with them. They look all most the CEC CF wheels. They have same set up but just a little different in the style. Here's there site.

The CEC's are 16k a set, and I am paying only 6500. Still, I here what your saying. I am a little concern.

They may be light but they are brittle. One pothole and I'm pretty sure you will be out the $6000. It's one thing to have them on an F1 car for a 1 1/2 hour race, but a whole different thing to expect them to hold up to long term street abuse.
I read that Dymags went out of business. Anyone hear about this?

The other problem is that the heat (I believe) also makes them turn yellow...a buddy of mine had a set on his 997tt and that def didn't look right.

This company is out of NY, not far from me so I am able to go to there shop and see whats going on. In fact I will buy a set because I know them and want to help. Everybody needs a break, right. Now, they told me that dynomag had the same problem until HRE came in "cleared" everything up. So we will see. They are building me a set, and I will be able to design my own center.

i have dymags in my car for 6 months now without any issues...they look and perform great and would buy them again.they have triple impact reasistance compared to stock wheels...However if you crack them they are off.go ahead and buy dymags and you ll love them.

Notice it's not the CF that failed in that pic, it's the Magnesium But supposedly part of the problem is the CF's inability to flex when loaded like a normal metal based wheel does, so the center of the rim wants to slightly move, but the barrel doesn't move with it which can cause seperation.
