Europipe in ATL?

Europipe in ATL?
I know this probably belongs in the regional section, but the southeast forum is pretty dead. Anyhoo, I've pretty much made my decision to go with a EP Stage 2 quiet, and I've been in contact with Stef at EP.
All I need to pull the trigger is to hear one in person. I can't really make a decision listening to the youtube clips.
So if anyone in the ATL area has a EP and is in need of a 6 or 12 pack of their favorite beer, I'd really like to listen to it.

I've got the Stage 1 Quiet and you're more than welcome to come over and listen to it (I'm a Belgian endorsing a Belgian product in Suwanee, haha).
It's even installed on the same car as yours, just to make your decision easier
By the way - unless you intend to go above 700HP, there's no need for a Stage II. Stef must have told you.
I'll PM you my cell phone.

I have a Europipe Stage 2 quiet on my 03 X50 with the K24/18g turbos and it sounds better and better over time.
I had heard that the Europipe was the only pipe with a truely different sound and that it sounded "exotic" or "italian" and that it had no drone.
The no drone and "not loud" was important to me and it lives up to both of those claims. At idle it rumbles slightly more than stock, but is definitely not loud. At WOT, it is very noticibly louder than stock, but not offending to neighbors.
The "exotic" is more subjective. When I first started driving it, I didn't hear "exotic," but it has loosened up a bit with a 1-2k miles on it. It has gotten a little louder and it has developed a really nice (for lack of a better word) gurgling sound when you let off the pedal and the back pressure releases. It just brings a smile to my face.
So, that's the best I can describe it to you, and I am in very cold NY state, so you are too far to come hear it.
The last thing I will say is that you really have to decide how important that little extra sound is. I have heard both Agency and Miltek exhausts and they sound good, but probably not quite as good for my tastes, though they are half the price or less. For me, sound was an important part of the experience, so I went for it and in retrospect think that I probably could have been happy with one of those and $3k in my pocket, but I know I am happy with the EP IIQ and I don't regret it.
Hope that helps.

The other nice thing which has not been mentioned is the fact that you constantly hear the Turbos spool, especially in a convertible.
I've had several passengers ask what the hell that whistle in my exhaust was

I have the Stage I, which, after talking to Stef, I decided upon because I'm running under 600 rwhp which makes the necessity for something larger than 60mm and running 100 cell cats unnecessary....and what I can tell you is that I bought it without hearing one but banking upon the numerous complimentary recommendations of those who did have one....and I can confirm that it is a very sophisticated yet robust sound that does get a bit more audible over time. You won't be disappointed...I can assure you. Is that recommendation just as subjective as the ones for Miltek, Cargraphic, or any of the others??? Admittedly Yes...and all I can say is that I hope you can hear one because it will sell itself.

I have a EP stage 1 on my GT2 and can confirm that you hear clearly the turbo spool up.
The noise is "OK", surely good at idle but some drone between 2000-2500 and around 4000 rpm's. The resonation only appear when you drive at constant speed (highway) not in WOT accelerations.
I tested also the power, before with stock exhaust and after with EP: no difference.
The finishing is perfect as the fitting, the weight only a little less than stock.
Hope it helps..

Stef says that due to my larger X50 turbo's, the stage 2 quiet would give me less backpressure, and they would spool up quicker= less turbo lag?
I'm about 99.9999% ready to pull the trigger on it. I'll call u soon Yves. Thanks.

I had a EPL2 Loud for 3 years. It was awesome. I now have a custom EP with 1/2 the back pressure of the stage 2 loud. It's a work of art. You should seriously consider the stage 2 LOUD vs. the Quiet. It's not that loud. It's a beautiful piece of equipment with an intoxicating symphony of tones. Getting a quiet is kinda like getting breast implants and deciding on B cups. You might regret not getting a bit more. Just my opinion.

I finally got the EP and had it installed today. Add me to the list of enthusiastic supporters. Very civil at normal driving speeds and roars to life at WOT. Stef says it will get a little louder after I put 1-2k miles on. I'll be makng a few laps around I-285 in the next few weeks.
