I agree, when I had a 645, it drew way more attention than my Porsche. On the road the car looks sick.

And that's stock.

Modded up, it's one incredibly awesome looking car. Some of these Porsches guys need to realize you're not driving some Ferrari. 911s are EVERYWHERE.

I'd venture to say a Chrysler 300 sitting low on 22" wheels creates more ripples in the a stroll down the avenue than a modded 911.

Doesn't make either of the cars better than the 911, just very different.

Big cars with big wheels get big attention save for your exotics.

Your point Benjamin

Sounds like YOU are all wrapped up in image and what other people think. Insecurity perhaps? Most people I know that drive Porsche's (excluding you of course) do not wish, yearn or pretend they are Ferrari's...

You're absolutely right. If by M5, you mean the E39.

Take a look at these two pictures and judge for yourselves.
Imho, the E39 is a classic, but the E60 is so-so.

E39 M5

E60 M5

To be honest, I think the new one looks better. The old one looks great also, but, just looks old now. I think Bangle has finally brainwashed me!

Hideous... BMW designs have really gone downhill with the new 5, 6 and 7 series. They just look so bad IMO. Oh well...to each his own.

As far as the comment about a 6 series getting more looks than a tastefully modified porsche, well, that's probably b/c it looks so bad that people are wondering what the hell it is.

I guess it's all personal taste. I do not like the new Bimmer looks at all. The new M6 looks hideous. I still miss the '85 Euro M6 I had. In response to Benjamin's comments, I have never wished my car was a Ferrari while driving the Porsche. I love the Porsche experience the way it is. TC

So your bling if you put HRE's on your 911...

But 20's on your BMW (which are for looks not performance) is okay...

Maybe my mistake, but a 6-series is not the sports car a 911 is.

And the new 6 is a deceptively large car.

And regarding the Ferrari/Porsche confusion, read less and place more effort on comprehension.

I am with Lou on this one. The old body style, well...it frankly looks old. You can't pull up to a street light without seeing two others with the same body style sitting there. The new ones are still not that prevelant (they will be in time of course).

I like the new 5 & 7 series. I think the 6 is just ok
