Hmmm... well I get lots of attention in my GT2. Whether it be PCH, Wilshire, Sunset Blvd., etc. Every kid and young punk can't help but stare...

Side by Side which would get more attention, the M6 or any 911? ( Don't use favoritism since this is the Porsche section)

Tyson, I think it's you that they're staring at, not the car

The M6 would. The 911 shape was never ever meant to be an attention grabber. It's form follows function. Cars like the M6 and F-cars are function follow form.

Depends on the model. Mid 30's don't buy 745/760's. They buy 3's or SLK's. 40+ and exec's wives will look at the bigger MB's and BMW's.

I'm just going by the avg demographics released by MB and BMW. Do a non-scientific study count the next 10 MB you see and the next BMW's you see and check out the driver. I see plenty of people my age(31) driving 7's 5's 6's and obviously 3's. I see plenty of older people driving MB. Maybe its becuase they are slightly more expensive or less sporty, who knows.

911 imo (and confirmed with any people I've been with and their reaction to a 6). as most people aspire to drive sports cars, and Porsche = sports.

2ndly this is a slightly unfair question considering the m6 isn't even on the streets yet. so a better comparison will be the 6. which looks like most other BMWs. which are like every few feet it seems.

even when I see a 6 on the road I have to make sure it is a 6 and not some Japanese car (solara).

yes, that may be the case with various versions of the 911 too, but at least then the comparison is with other Porsches.

About the comment that everyone aspires to drive sports cars... are you kidding me?

I like all types. Escalades, Bentley GTs, 911s, blah blah.

The 6-series is an incredibly aggressive looking car that just says look at me now for good or for not so good. Spend about $15K in prettying it up and pow you got yourself a winner.

The M6 is the ****.

No no no!!!!

I expected so much better. Especially that bland rear end. What the hell is up with those reflectors or whatever they are placed within the bumpers? That DOES NOT belong on this car.
