techart GT street XL

I was looking on their website trying to see how much they are selling the new 997 stuff for and saw the GT street "xl". Does anyone have or know about the XL version of this. I had never heard of it. Do you guys think it's worth it?

I believe its based on a 996 GT2... although its even wider and still based on TechArts monstrous performance modifications in their "GT" tuning class.

Worth it? that depends on how much work you can put into research alternatives, and how much time you're willing to see the car spen away from home at individual shops (that is- unless you can tune yourself)...

If you buy from techart, you get a car fully TUV approved as if it was purchased from an automotive manufacturer... almost like RUF.

You pay more but you buy the car and it's basically MAXED out in mods... oh, and be prepared to pay for it... to the tune of $230k USD give or take

I don't have it. I was going to pull the trigger in Jan/Feb on the S but I just can't justify the added expense. There are as good and even better results with careful planning I think. I can PM you some details.

The $230k was for the XL I believe, Holy S is right. But it is based on the GT2 mind you...

TTM0TION and Dave (SUPER D)

PMs sent. As for the Suspension Verdict, the first two links are extraneous and were sent to provide you with exceptional background on Ken (KPV)'s findings.

Here is the ultimate answer (which you also have in your PM but I thought to share this with all of you newer 6speeders that hadn't seen this yet...)

And Ken, again thank you for sharing your findings.
