Rebuild rear wing hydraulics?

All - just picked up an 01 tt as my daily driver and the drivers side hydraulics for the rear wing is leaking and will not extend as much as the passengers side. 2 questions - One, can they be rebuilt? Two, anyone offer rebuilt ones or sell them individually? - Thanks, Ryan

To the best of my knowledge no rebuilt hydraulic lift cylinders units are available. However, they can be purchased separately: the part number for the driver’s side is 996-512-951-01.

Rector Porsche sells it for less than $400 a piece – but I am sure that other places have it for the same or perhaps an even cheaper price.

If you do a search on this forum (spoiler leak) you will found some valuable info about this general problem. It can be reserviced and bleed. Some people use thicker oil! You will found a DIY on that link:

hydraulic Spoiler and Rear Deck Lid

I am selling a rear deck lid with the hydraulics. I will sell it for a lost less than the hydraulics themselves cost at dealership (~$1400)

Check out my post

Let me know.

sorry to bring this post back up it this a fairly easy replacement or do you have to flush the system etc, and would you have to recalibrate it with the porsche tablet?
