I see that the online rate is 3.99% which is great, However it was brought to my atention that the rate will not last and will go up a considerable amount??? Now i hope this is false, Can anyone here confirm that this is false? TIA -Rob
I am soooo close to pulling the trigger on a TT, well after one of you guys sells me theirs lol. Thanks to all that have pm'ed me however i can not spend more than 45k and would prefer a modded (not beat on) car.

I just financed through PenFed, it got the 3.99% rate, I was not told that the rate would go up at any point.
The whole experience was VERY frustrating. The seller of my car had a loan on it, so we had a lot to work out. His credit union was very helpful- whereas PenFed was very difficult to deal with. Every time I called (which was A LOT), each person I spoke to told me something different.
If you are buying from a dealer of private seller who holds the title, it should be easy. The fact that titles are held electronically by leinholders in CA was a major hurdle to overcome.
If you can get 3.99 through BAC, that's what I'd do...

Just purchased mine with a loan through PenFed. No problems whatsoever. The 3.99 is good for the entire length of the loan. I applied over the phone and was approved in 10 minutes. Pretty painless.

+1. I paid an extra $20 and had a check in my hand on Monday after joining the credit union on Friday at 3:00PM. They even financed the book value of the car, not what I paid, so I rolled the tax in there. I couldn't have had an easier experience.

I have a rookie financing question (I have bought my other cars outright). If I were to buy a truck and wanted to get partial financing through PenFed, is that something they would do? Say it were a $35K truck and I wanted to finance $15k of it, would that make the ordeal any more difficult in dealing with PenFed? As a point of reference this is a used car dealer locally that I would be buying from.
Thanks.

I bought my through PenFed as well. Just fill out a online pre-approval and you will get a check in the mail. The check will be good for 90 days.
B of A will not finance any car older than 2005. I tried before I went w/ PenFed.
