I do not want a front plate, i have the bumper plugs...
I couldnt take them off so i can put the front plate to go
get the tickets sign off. Someone here sells the front plate
mount for about $50 bucks. F that if i only plan to use it when
i go get tickets sign off. A bit of creativity, $12 bucks total,
and 5 minutes to make and 5 minutes to home depot..

And I got 2 tickets sign off today... need to look for my other
2 tickets to get sign off...

I tied mine on with wire when i had to be retested for my dl.(cause of stroke) got a hot shot instructer who checked to see if my seats were bolted down and my glove box latch worked.and thats the truth!!!
this was on a two year old cayenne that still had the orig paper window reg. on it... anyway she did not even blink about the plate being wired on.. oh she asked me to make hand signals too. had one just for her . but thought i had better keep it to myself

Didn't they ask if someone can just unscrew your license plate?

nice !

once i had rigged up a setup that the plate was on a hinge and the wind would push it back and touch a electro magnet (coil) and then i could kill the power to the coil and drop the plate for the officer. made for some interesting police stops, including multiple violations for things i didn't do *shrug* getcha coming or going

I have never run a front license plate on any of my cars. The many times I've been pulled over (and I mean MANY), I have never been written up for not having the plate. I guess I have gotten lucky.

No front plate on my Porsche, Benz or minivan. Heck, I drove a brand new 1997 Ford F150 75,000 with no plates at all (front, rear or dealer paper ones). Yes, not even on the front or rear. I kept the truck so clean, it looked new.

Well,
You are one luck person.. I was pulled over for doing 85 on I-5 near Stockton. After I handed mu doc's the CHP officer..he actually walked to the front of my HONDA CIVIC to check if I had a front plate

I lay it in the windshield, they don't like it but oh well it's displayed. I am told that in Japan after a certain speed many have their tags spring loaded to flip down and not be readable. Their photo radar needs to see the driver and front tag supposedly so..... Get pulled over and tag is visible just fine for the inspection...

Here in Calif they're getting really CS with stopping folks for just about anything. I got stopped in the middle of a group of cars....pulled over and asked....You were going a bit fast weren't you? I said No...I was right with traffic. He never mentioned the speed issue again. He then asked for drivers' license, registration and proof of insurance. I found everything but couldnt find the piece of paper for proof of insurance....he issues me a citation with a MANDATORY court appearance checked....for a CSh** fix-it to show proof of insurance (which I found under the owner's manual after he left). The fix it now costs you $25 for "Administrative fees" regardless of whether it's a fix-it ticket that used to be simply taking it to any police officer and having him sign it off....not now guys....I've been nailed for TWO fix-its and paid $25 in admin fees each time. Everyone is looking for revenue, and you can hear the chickens clucking as soon as they light you up.

Recession. They want more income. My county also raised fine for ticket some months ago. I had to pay $265 from 45to35 mph speed trap. (around $100 increase.) I was doing 49mph. Lady officer greet me with sheer voice and hefty ticket. Felt very funny.

Very true indeed.

I got nailed for no front plate AND one of my rear plate bulbs was out which I did not know and got a fix-it for that too! What a jackass.
