Best sounding intake

I've researched every intake I believe there is for this car. I really am not interested in making an extra 10-20 hp, that's a nit, IMHO. I'm looking for recommendations on the best sounding exhaust.

I realize this is highly subjective, so let me elaborate. I want to compliment my FabSpeed Gen 3 Moderate exhaust with more of a throaty, exotic car sound, if that's even possible.

I'm leaning toward the FabSpeed High Performance intake, because it is so open. I've never heard one though. I'm also wondering if I couldn't duplicate this on my own by just removing the stock airbox cover?

Thanks!

You will never get the sound of a NA car in a turbo...I doubt the intake will help your sound at all. Some say headers do this, but I'm not convinced.

I would have to agree.. Turbo cars sound alot more agreesive when you charge exhuast but on N/A cars you get that rasp that turbo wont get. Now the intake idea might work but never seen it done. you might being more hot air into your motor which will slow it down a bit

what wross said . no intake will change your exhuast tone , headers will make it sound a little different but not much , i noticed this in my car.

if you want the best sounding exhuast then i suggest you swap out your fabspeed for something else, theres plenty of info on here just do a search , may want to look for a europipe .

I would spend the money on the flash Look at EVOMSit.....

I replaced my stock exhaust with B&B....Headers, Intake and software from EVOMS. I did the exhaust first.....B&B exhaust tone met my expectations....I love the sound.

The fender intakes make an induction noise from what I have read
But is there any difference in noise from just a replacement cotton filter in the stock airbox?

The woosh of my external wastegates followed by the whipping/shrieking sound of my IC/fenderwal mounted DVs is absolutely wicked!

Of course a full blow through system w/ IC's is going to run you close to 10 grand but that is hands down the best sounding intake.

I went from the OEM style intake to the fender style and back to the OEM style with K24/18G turbos. I did not notice any difference in the "intake of air" sound between the two. The difference in sound between them is that the fender style relocates the diverter valves and vents them to the atmosphere, which you hear, upon release of the air. It is the whipping/shrieking sound Dr. Jitsu refers to...
