Does anyone know this car? It is in Utah and was a voluntary repo. The dealer says the previous owner has the DMW computer and will sell it the buyer for $2000. Who knows it will even run? Supposedly it has 600hp and needs this particular computer. Look familiar to anyone?

also when having a budget for a car like this, keep in mind that maintenance costs are quite high (quality tires, bearings, oil changes etc etc)

 

I looked at this last week, it's about 1 mile from my office.
Went right after lunch and the "answer man" was not back yet so I couldn't ask many questions.
Really nice shape. Suple leather interior. Carbon leather steering wheel, handbrake, shift ****. Aluminum instrument dials, stainless door entry and footwell lighting. Greddy boost controller, techquipment roll bar in brushed stainless. 19" Conti sport contact 3's with about 50% rear and 70% front. Rears are 315, forgot what front was.
Race Precision exhaust. Seal gray with black interior.
I was able to jump the fuse box to open the front, then jump the battery to open the engine.

Does anyone know what wheels those were? Nothing on the face and I couldn't get around behind them to get any info. They look nice in person.

 

I have, I am well aware of maint. Coming out of a W211 MB E55! Stupid airmatic suspension was $1000 a corner and $2500 for the pump.

thats the hydrolic pump leaking on one side
that alone is a $1600 part from the dealer....

 

also, the car itself doesnt make sense
why would someone who has a "600 hp" kit put such ****ty wheels, and NO suspension on the car ?

 

Oh yeah the car is nothing but questions. As far as I'm concerned my interest was only as a parts car. This is a salvage junk yard and the asking price is just that, the asking price.
A buddy of mine bought a wrecked Lotus Elise from them, for parts. They were asking 17.9K, he got it for 8K and got his money's worth out of it.

 

DME computer is missing?!?!? Duplicate titles? Something smells really bad.

DO NOT think that you are going to buy a computer from the old owner, pop it in, and all will be fine. Could be, but you should ASSUME it will not work....
