Was this a one off type thing, or do you plan on having this available to others? if so how much and/or the work needed to get them into the headlights.

I did a similar thing on an E46 BMW, in that case the headlight comes a part, so no need to re-bake the lights, but the wiring was a hassle and it never stood up correctly.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I commisioned a company called AAC (advanced automotive concepts) to do the work but since they had never worked on a Porsche headlight; I asked them to have a custom halo made (took 3-4 months for that alone) and then it took them forever to get back to the light to finish it. I also told them how I wanted the halo to sit inside the lense.

At first they tried just the round halos but it looked terrible and then they told me there was no way they could get the factory to make the halo shape I needed. After some arm twisting, they agreed to try and thats when I bit the bullet to have the custom halos made. It was nearly $700 (which they charged to me) just for the custom mold for the halo but now they can order as many as they want.

Not sure I would use them again but at least the halos are now available and perhaps another member can take this to the next step and do a better job at customer service than they did. The total cost including the $700 for the mold was approx. $1500 and this included the paint and 6000K HID bulbs to match the halos.

I'll post pics with them on the car this weekend. If they look just half as amazing as the custom Halos look on my other car (300C SRT8), it will be well worth it.

Thanks,
Z4MET
