Very bad. I always take longer route and spend more time than needed.

DrDre,

The car is a great daily driver and with the right tires, a great four season car. The power is very manageable. I recently picked up my 996tt, but due to the fact that it had summer tires on it and I live in Upstate NY I was nervous about being able to control the power. It was very easy to drive civilized, I managed with little effort to drive it without any boost or at most .1 or .2 bar. The car behaves as long as you want it to. Stab down on the go pedal though and watch out. Mine is an X50 so there is a bit more lag anyway. You don't want full boost coming on in the winter on summer tires when it is below 40 degrees out. Trust me.

It is comfortable enough for a daily driver, but becomes a beast when driven on the backroad twisties. The car has more capabilities than I have the ***** to take it.

Best daily driver I have ever had....even through winter. Can't imagine parking it for the winter.

The 996 turbo is pretty sedate as a daily driver. To many it can be TOO sedate and needs new exhaust for a more performance oriented sound. Suspension might be a little stiff if you have bad roads but it will handle any curve you send it. They sky is the limit for power but even so it remains an excellent daily driving car. You won't find a better performance daily driver in its price range.
