Extended warranty after expiration

Is it possible to still get an extended warranty on a P-car after the original warranty has expired? I didn't think it'd be possible, but I found this thread a few years back and wasn't sure if it was just a local market thing (S. California). I'm in Florida. It mentions that cars could be covered that had expired manufacturer's warranties.

I'm looking to get into my first P-car (996tt) and have found a few possibilities, some with expired warranties. Just wanted to see what others have done or considered. Thanks.

Easy Care will also give you coverage after your warranty runs out but I think you have to get the car inspected (for a fee) prior to them giving you coverage. I got mine from the dealer while under CPO, so no inspection needed.

I have had both EasyCare and Prism, and both were good to me.

One car I'm looking at seems meticulously maintained with 31,xxx miles, but has Stage 4 EVO setup (k24 turbo upgrade). Would a warranty be worth it? I'm sure I'd be denied or receive minimal coverage on the motor/tranny if I ever needed service.

NO, NO, NO.

There is NO extended warranty that would (realistically) cover a modded car.

First many contracts flat out deny coverage if the car has been modified. Second all the rest of them will exclude damage caused by mods. Despite posters here, any 'breakage' of any drivetrain part is due to 'force' and any power mod increases 'force' and therefore the failure will be due to the mod....you are then stuck trying to argue if the force under which your part broke was a 'normal force' or a higher force due to the mod. Impossible. Denial.
