Technically..yes. Actually runs the same ...with LESS boost. I have 1bar wastegates from Blouch when they did my 18g's. They were always kind of weak...barely holding 1.3-1.35bar. On a cool night maybe 1.4bar. I was running 6.0-6.1's ALL the time with a 5.99 thrown in once in a while. NOW, it seems to run the same, but BARELY making 1.3bar.

+1 mike
If best all around why would you sell yours Mr. Valenchino?

What would be the wastegate solution to fix this once & for all?

at the moment i have no need for them, but will certainly buy another set with no hesitation ( i bought 2 sets of A28s already) . they are the best all around. there are others that make more pwr but none can match these A28s in boooooost response.............

Buy new aftermarket wastegates. AMS has them for $350, but not interested in putting any more money into a losing venture....

I've definitely seen what you turbos can do... If you buy your 3rd set I will call you Mr. Alpha 28 lol I personally think all turbos have a purpose and all depends on ones goals. If you take a fully supported A28 with weight reduction and Alpha 3071 with same modifications and weight reduction, then I think you know which has the advantage on the track or on a roll on race!
I will finally be posting some performance numbers on 30's being that Proto just sent me race file

(useable pwr) having full spool at 3,000 rpm making 650hp is better than full spool at 4,100 rpm make 680hp. again more useable power. that is why u bought A3071 instead of A3076, better spool more useable pwer. remember i said A28s are the best ALL AROUND.
my 3rd set would depend on how much power i want to make n how much im willing to give up my boost respond. A28, A3071 or A3076

u are missing the point i am trying to make. i never said anything about which one is faster. what said was "A28s are the best ALL AROUND, BEST OVERALL" TURBOS (USEABLE POWER).

Point well taken but that ALL depends on how one will use the turbos to be BEST OVERALL Best ALL AROUND. For example, If one mainly does roll on's then for them best OVERALL turbo will be A3071 or even A3076 To full boost at around 2800 not that much beneficial on highway roll on when you are usually well north of that. Just MY opinion bro, what do I know? I don't even have any performance numbers yet

I do remember how your A28's, 2nd set was leap frogging on certain cars

Interesting conversation. Are there really people that primarily do roll-ons? IMO people primarily street drive and have a few "meets" or "run-ins" where that roll on power can be really used.

I'll take the A28s ANY day. I think I was the last person in the world to buy 2860RS turbos from Tial but I have to admit, it's been a fantastic street and occasional track turbo. I had the pleasure of driving yllwturbo's tuned but not dialed-in A28 996T back to back with my GT28 turbo car (dialed in) and his car was probably already a bit faster top end.

Richie! You missed a great track day with Mike, Kalon and company today. Mike's track days are very fun and super laid back. I have in-car chase video of the black C63 doing a full drift through the bowl at little willow. Amazing!! I took Mr. White's advice and aired down teh hankook RS tires to the low 30 PSI range hot. Damn, SERIOUS GRIP!

hey Ari, glad you guys are having fun, i couldnt make it out this time but i should be able to make it on July 10 at Big Willow. it will be fun if u can make it. let me know.

A3071 would not be as fun at street of willow than..... let say A28s. of course A28s.

Very happy for you Ari finding turbos that fit your needs is a great feeling. I unfortunately was not happy with my older gt28/16 turbo set up. Also I think Richie ran a few 2860's and it wasn't even close.
Mr. Valenchino A28's was even spanking a lot of the big boys, trust me I know what those turbos can do.. I was on the receiving end a few times
