Would you run Magnesium wheels on the street?

If they're the brand new type of Mag mix that BBS is using now - you're fine. Even if they're the old ones that will crack after a few seasons of hard race use, as long as you clean them regularly and check them for cracks on both sides inner and outer you'll be fine.
I'm running magnesium centerlock wheels from 1977...had them crack checked and keep on rolling - just be more aware of them than you would a normal wheel.

Should be ok unless they are some superlight race-only wheels, but you need to inspect religiously. As mentioned, mag wheels were an option on C5 Corvettes for several model years. I'm not sure of the alloy.

I think you guys are referring to a magnesium/aluminum alloy... This means that typically, there are none of the dangers associated with magnesium wheels, and most of the benefits.... Manufacturers don't want the potential liability associated with 4 rolling fireballs

I'd like to see proof Chevy used true magnesium for a production wheel on a car made in that kind of quantity. I don't know (doubt) if this is accurate. I seriously doubt Chevy would spring for the tooling it took to make them, but that's opinion. Remember, people have a habit of referring to cast alloy wheels as "mags", but that does not mean they are constructed of magnesium. The only true production magnesium wheel I know of was for the Carrera GT, at 8k a pop. There may be more, but if so they would be for very expensive, very exclusive cars. The stuff is just too expensive, and too hard and dangerous to work with.
