If other cars just like yours have been dyno'ed with the same kit, what's that probability that you're of similar HP/TQ numbers? How much range do you need get 99% assurance? Any statisticians here?

I believe there are other cars with my mods, but they haven't posted any perofrmance numbers that I know of.

Great numbers. I think that will help. But mine with Tip it will be less, maybe about 440 whp.

I wouldn't get too worked up over the dyno numbers. Get your car tuned and go run some 60-130's and/or get some trap speed numbers. You guys in Cali are at a disadvantage in that you have the 91 craptane. I think most 49 state STOCK K16 cars make 325-340AWHP and STOCK K24 cars make 375-400 AWHP and that's on a Mustang dyno. A flash alone is usually good for 50-70whp. More supporting mods...more power.

I had been told (by numerous sources that have actually Dynoed GT2's) that STOCK GT2's usually make from 410 - 440 RWHP on Dynojets...

I guess all I can do is hope that Tony@ EPL has some magic mojo that will help my Car overcome the 91 Octane Gnat's **** that we call gasoline here. The Car really does feel strong just now and smokes the rear tires in second when it hits 4500 rpm Tony's tune has really woken the Car up.. I will be Dynoing the Car in the next week or two.. Also going to a Laguna Track day (two days actually) and I wil be able to compare Lap Times and terminal speeds on the straights.. That will be a really good test.

Sounds about right. I forgot GT2's are already RWD and that accounts for the additional 25-30whp. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Let's begin by making a distinction between WHEEL and ENGINE HP.

like many here I THOUGHT my K24s made 516 wheel HP. Dynojets are junk and read SUPER high IMO. You don't really believe that stock 996 GT2s make 400+ WHP do you? Dynojets are good for ego, bad for performance.

The truth is that K24s are hard pressed to boost past 550 engine HP when maxed out with exhaust and wasetgate mods. Yes they are fast, but they make 550 real ENGINE HP.

Read this: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...no-inside.html

Any tuner who dynos a stock 996TT @ 450 WHP and then claims they made 700 WHP after tune is pulling the wool over your eyes.

stock 997 GT2 makes 464 wheel HP on GIAC's Mustang dyno. That sounds realistic to me. You decide.

Mustang dyno will usually read less than a Dynojet... in the area of 7% difference.

For example and for comparisons sake... for a Dynojet, lift a car up and spin the wheels, still loaded under drivetrain. Now for a Mustang Dyno and for comparison between the two, sit the car on the street and spin it again under both road and drivetrain load. This is somewhat a quick analogy of how and why the two are different.

Cheers,
Allen
