Rs6 for sure. I was in an E60 M5 while a guy with only a flashed Rs6 pulled on us pretty hard.

back then i was in the same shoe, so i chose E55 just because of brute power. upgraded it with Renntech bigger supercharger sold it 4-5 months ltr. too boring it was fast but had no spirit. too front end heavy around a corner. get an M5 if lookin for a 4 door fun. had an 02 M5 its was way more fun to drive, but back then my turbo made it feel like a 328. best of luck

I've driven all three, but I think the NA car(BMW) is the best for my purposes only because I can't mess with it and draw my wife's wrath. It may not be the speed demon the new E60 is but for her it will be enough.

Of course I could always get a Caddy with vette motor

With all the weather CO has, I would stay with AWD imho, that limits the pic to the RS6, or maybe a S4 or S4 Avant.

porscheralph is infamous around these parts
I have a 2004 E55 with pulley, headers, larger throttle body and high flow cats. It puts out about 600 at the crank. I drive it all year long - we just had the worst winter in Northern Va and I have had no trouble getting around. I put winter tires on in November and take them off in March. By the way I have turned 11.9 at 123 mph with street tires. Fast, comfortable and a real sleeper. I love the car.

yeah that has got to be one of the best AMG's to get. We have a few in Denver and they are running high psi. Fast cars for sure. If I had known one of the guys in our group was going to trade his in for a cayman I might have bought his. It was immaculate.

Actually I have some strange tastes. I love the old mid 80's Saab 99's and I love the first Gen M5, but I don't think the wife likes either and if I get her either I may have to move into a condo.

this is what I like but it ain't gonna happen....

I don't think your tastes are all that strange. I still like the first gen BMW M3.

Three really different solutions to the same challenge. Go fast, handle well and transport 4 passengers in confort. E55, lots of power and easy to mod for more, suspension a bit on the limo side. M-5 the ulitmate handling machine with a bullet proof mill. RS6 all wheel drive keeps you out of trouble or gets you out of trouble when it come looking for you all in a very stealth package. Buy all three.

Nice car. I went with the E55, but wanted brute power, an automatic and 7 seats (ours is a wagon).

I don't think you could have made a mistake with the choices you were looking at.
