also are any of these guys tip? The reason I ask is because 6-speeds shift faster then the tips. There is a huge lag in the 3rd to 4th gear shift. The tip cars also keep there boost between shifts where as the 6-speeds have to rebuild it. The shifting nature of both cars are very different and there just isn't as many tip cars to put together the data properly. I would like to get a tcu upgrade and see if there is any benefits, if it works great if not then I can simply have it lowered.

Vince, my tranny now shifts at 7000 automatically. Do I feel that this has helped my 60-130 times? No. I now try to time it to where it shifts closer to 6800, which means pressing the up button at around 6400. After the TCU upgrade, the 3-4th gear shift his very good. BUT, the 2-3rd shift is slower now. Also, you really need to start lower, like 30. Can you brake boost? That helps big time as well.

Totally understand. I think the idea has been validated more upon the idea that it keeps the smaller turbos in their efficiency range. I'm not sure if Todd (VividracingTx) has experimented with short shifting or not but he would rev to 12K if he could find a way so he probably isn't the best example The only other people that might be able to chime in specifically with knowledge regarding the tip is Sharky or Craig (who i'm not sure even posts on 6speed anymore). The short shifting is around the 6200rpm mark from what i've seen.

I think TialSport should know best in his Turbos/Version/Date release,
if he would like help out our confusion or A28 owner frustration here?
A28s have been avialable somtimes. But when did exactly new vers. that says outflow normal 3071R come out?

....and didn't you prove recently (with your Pbox) that even though the 3-4 shift has a long dwell, you are still accelerating?

I dont think I have brake boosting, sorry but how do you brake boost? You just have to hold the brake lightly and rev it right before you take off?

My car shifts right around that point right now. I will try to launch closer to 30mph.

yes, you create load and build boost, so when you release your foot from the brake you jump forward already past the boost threshhold

I will try the brake boosting method. Thank you Mike for calling me. It just sucks that I have to wait until the 6" of snow melts and the weather is good to try again.

Thank you for the update. When do you expect to have it done? Is it really necessary to have a full TCU upgrade done if I just want to raise the rev limit?
