is 7.7 60-130 bad for my setup?
The set-up I have is alpha GT28s, speedtech exhaust with no cats, 50/50 water and meth, 72lb injectors, bosch LDC spark plugs, beru coil packs, samco hose kit, and EPL tuned to 1.4 bar. The best time I could manage is a 7.7. Looking at all the 6 second passes here I feel very disappointed but not sure what is a good time for a tip car with my setup.

On 24/18's, I run mid 7's at 1.2 bar on pump gas. I'll bet you can go mid 7's with your set up. How is the tip shifting?

That's a very respectable time. Look at it this way, based on that time, your car will trap 130+ in the 1/4 mile, and will pull on a stock C6 Z06. That's a very quick car you have there!

Enjoy your car... its sounds like mechanically this is the first time its ever been truly sorted out.

I hear you Vince, did you see this video I posted recently of a 6.7 run where my 2-3rd shift is just awful? Are your shifts similar?

My tip seems to be a big reason why my 60-130 is not better. The car shifts at around 6500rpms, it feels like it's shifting to soon. Also the 3rd to forth gear shift is stupidly slow. I have been calling Tony@EPL all week and no luck on a response. I want to get my redline raised to 7200 or so and have better shifting in 3rd to 4th gear with his TCU upgrade. I don't want to remove the torque limits though since they are there to protect the tranny. I also need to find a way to hook up a tranny cooler if I'm going to run more power and higher rpms. Hopefully this week we can work things out.

Keep in mind, we've "tuned" the car 2-3 times at this point, every time later finding you had hardware issues. All considering, I would say your car is running VERY well.

It feels ligher up front and is less clunky in the turns but I don't road course the car at all. It helps because more power can be delivered to the wheels. 75lbs of weight savings is very helpful for quicker times in the 1/4 and 60-130. I was able to lower the car to GT2 height because the axels are gone now.
On the other hand, since the RWD conversion, I have spun the car twice with PSM off and both times I lucked out with out hitting anything or anyone. Now, I never turn off PSM unless I'm at the track. Launch traction sucks without the AWD even on Drag radials. The car deserves a different level of respect in RWD.
It's as SAFE as you are, if you know what I mean.

Tony,
don't get offended, I wanted to get your TCU upgrade if you had it. For some reason I am only trapping about 126-128ish. I really feel that has to do with the way my car is shifting. I wanted you to get me a tcu upgrade and a retune. If you don't have it available I can puchase a TCU upgrade from another vendor and pay to have the car dyno tuned at AMS.
Vivid my car shifts almost the same way.

I'm kind of curious as well. (I also bought Alpha28s 2 months ago. after many threads praise how well it capable of. Tialsport even quoted its flow is more than 3071.) Why the performance is not way better than K18G/k24? Is it all it got without more supporting mod? Vince, are you sure you sort out all problems?

I don't know of any A28's outperforming 24/18's right now.
