Interesting fact is that noone here knows exactly how the stock fuel system on 996tt works........well may be only AMS
Anyway to run 044 pump inline to stock pump, or to run normal external surge tank with two 044s feed by stock internal pump......both ways are made without any understanding about stock fuel system

Figured this system out 2 years ago ......what do you mean by "both systems are made without any understanding?

I mean that if you add 044 pump inline, or made external surge tank with two 044s, then stock fuel feed system cant work like it need to work and in many situations the engine can run out of fuel

Anyway, if thats not secret please show/explain your 996tt fuel system configuration what you use on your clients cars ?

Our prototype fuel system should be up and running in a few days and be dyno testing early next week.

Any updates on this new system?

It is common practice to run parallel pumps in Rally cars, even with the standard tanks. I fitted parallel pumps tomy rally cars not for extra fuel but as back up with non return valves. A group A pump is good for 400/500 bhp anyway.
It is also possible on some cars to open up the internal scavenge tank so it will fill with fuel on its own but then add fuel cell foam matrix into the tank. I get it from Deamon Tweeks (uk) it stops fuel surge.( you can use all the fuel in the tank then.) You put it into bag tanks and ally tanks as well.
I wonder if it is possible to open up the scavenge tanks on a 996 so they fill on their own and get some fuel cell foam matrix into the tank to stop surge.

Many people know how the stock system works.,... including me

It's not rocket science, although the system to keep the internal surge tank is pretty ingenius and could be compared to rocket science(in the venturi effect that it creates anyway).

We have also seen issues like this which is why we chose to utilize twin inline 044 pumps in the tank. One of our dealers, Wicked Motorsports, has also come up with a twin solution that is very very nice. I will post more information on it soon.

Thank you for posting some quantitative data, as Sambo TT, it is more or less in-line with what we see on our Mustang power-wise.

To avoid all problems with one fuel pump giving out I'm thinking about building my fuel system as follows.
Mount the GT3 rs 90l fuel tank (done), install two original fuel pumps in the tank. GT3 rs tank has two access points, so I thought I should draw two new lines (one return line and a pressure line) from the tank back to the engine and then split the left and right cylinder bank. So if a pump stops, this will only lead to that one cylinder bank stops.
This should at least support 840hp .

Very curious as to how you guys did the dual in-tank. I just designed my own dual mount bracket that is being CNC's right now to hold some 044's. I will post my pictures and a DIY soon.

Hello,
Do you think it will be efficient if we install dual oem pump or dual in tank Bosch 040 using the same fuel line?
Thanks

I can appreciate the time it takes for people to do research on items like this.

What I don't understand is when a company does this, and then later does not offer what they think is a solution.

I checked the AMS site, looked for posts, still haven't found any update on this.
