We are having a great time in San Diego but my dad and i were wondering if anyone had any advice for seeing some exotics? We have been to Symbolic motors yesterday but found that it was shut for the holidays. Anywhere else anyone can recomend? We are around Coronado/Mission Bay

Symbolic is probably your best bet for exotics.

They had two Merci roadsters there not too long ago.

Arling, you're too funny!

I dont know if it is closed for the whole week mehrabani, but it was closed yesterday.

From what i could see from the outside they had a stunning looking black murc. They also had an anniversary edition murc in a bad blue (imho)

Adam,

If you go to Symbolic, make sure you go see Elliot Grossman. He does their vintage auto acquisitions and he is a member of the M5 board-- screen name is HADE55NOWM5. Very nice guy and I'm sure he'd love to show you their collection.

But I recommend you make the 2.5 hour drive to LA and visit Arling's shop. We would love to take you and your dad out to dinner and show you our cars.

I'm going to second that. I think the lj after Ben's name means that he is secretly J. Leno. We only get to see a few of his daily drivers, but he has a stash in his secret car museum.

I offer this 'proof.' (Humor me, it's post xmas, cloudy, and I'm avoiding work).

1. I have never seen any of these cars outside of a museum (ok, I've never seen a CGT, there are only like 2 in all of Utah).

2. This guy is smiling like he is having his photo taken by Jay Leno in Leno's brand new CGT.
