What negatives with Fabspeed? Sound not to your liking? OK, but I've got to tell you, I have had sero problems with my Fabspeed Supersport system. I have thousands of miles on it and it sounds great, it has a great finish, it saves weight and it performs, which is really the reason I bought it. There are a number of good exhaust systems out there; different strokes for different folks.

Agreed, we sell a ton of them. Not to mention I have about 20K on my FS moderate now.

FWIW ran the EP for 6K miles before that.

I remember reading about the 2600-2900 drone/resonance annoyance reported by quite a few. That happens to be my normal cruising range. I have very sensitive ears and like to listen to classical music when I cruise, even in a TT. I'll try to listen to one before taking others opinions as the rule.

collin996tt: The Fabspeed SS is loud and it has some resonance at 2600-2900. I have found that it is easy to address if I just shift down a gear. That makes a hugh difference. Plus I do like to hear the exhaust; I find it enjoyable.

No offense, but if you are sensitive to loud exhausts I would leave it stock.

No offense at all. Loud, when you want it and under your control, is not the samething as drone.

Thx for the advice. Yes I can shift down, but as I said, 2600-2900 is my favorite cruising range at all speed zones.

Smile RE: EP St2 Loud

Some guys swear the EP has no resonance. My ears are sensitive too, and the EvoMS was killing me with 2600-2900rpm drone. EP only has it right around 2000rpm, and it's almost pleasant in an air-cooled-911 kinda way; since your car only sees that when the oil is ice cold and when rolling from a dead stop, you should be fine.

But, if you get stuck in traffic frequently the 2k resonance will start to get to you with all the 1st gear starts.

fabseed exhaust

i just had my dealer install it for me today. i got the fabspeed ss. its pretty good exhaust since it will only get loud the moment you step on it. i went thru a lot of exhaust in my life since i got a few cars in my collection. the worse one i ever had was the tanabe exhaust for my s2000. its loud as f in any range.

as for warranty issue. i currently taking my car to rusnak in pasadena (s Cail) ask for the servie writer mike. he will keep one of his eyes shut on the warranty issues. they installed the muffler for me gave me car a wash and gave me a loander (f150) while they install my muffler. the total came out to be $350.

hope this help.

Collin-

We are well aware of the drone that your are referring to. Our early prototype systems suffered from the same thing during testing. We spent countless hours and finally figured out the problems.

We now have a product that sounds great at WOT, has a nice deep idle, and no drone in 5th/6th gear cruising.

If you would like to talk more please call or email. If you feel more comfortable ordering from a dealer you are more familiar with, contact Stephen at Imagine Auto.com.

AWE Tuning 996TT exhaust.
