Powder Coat wheels in Los Angeles?

Any recommendations in the greater Los Angeles area? Preferably the SF Valley?

Similar to this:

Are the edges polished or powdercoated silver?

Thanks Jason. Can you give me a quick idea of how powder coating works? In the rim above is the silver edge polished or a powder coat silver? How difficult is it to powder coat with this level of detail? What's a ballpark price? $100 per wheel? less? more?

I can't tell without seeing the wheel in person but good coaters mask off wheels all the time with nice results.

I am not a coater so I can't speak to the price but typically the wheels need to be stripped before coating. As with painting the difference between a good job and a so so job is in the prep.

Give Scott a call and he can give you an idea of pricing. The price would be cheaper if you just coated the whole wheel.

I have some glow in the dark powder if you want a set of crazy looking wheels!

The glow powder retails for $120/lb!!

Ho Scott,

I didn't know you were on here! Welcome!

I bought a 996 turbo and I'm picking it up next weekend. See you in May at El Mirage?

Yeah, don't go the "cheapest" route. Time is money and cheap usually means less prep...that's a bad thing with powder coating.

+1 Andrews, they did my intake manifold, engine sheet metal, fan blade and a few misc parts years ago. I was very happy with the results!

Really interested in getting my wheels done. From the website, Fast Forward Wheels don't do powder coating. How will the paint hold up. I have forged wheels and from what I hear, powder coating will weaken the wheel. So I might go the other route of painting instead
