i still think its a bullet proof engine thats why im willing to give one last chance. the problems for the enines (blown up) was due to my carelessness.

Got your message Richie. Sorry I won't be able to make the Dyno day (Cabo calls ) it would have been nice to set the 91 Octane record

I've made the decision to pull the Aasco flywheel, car will be in to Dan next week.

I'm really torn about it to be honest. It's a real love/hate relationship. I factored noise and increased concentration in stop and go city driving vs. the snappier throttle response and have come to the conclusion that the stock flywheel is a better option for a mainly street driven car.

It's probably the only mod I've made that has been too much of a compromise.

How's it coming?

My car is going in on Monday for stock flywheel and re-installation of front driveshaft. Fishtailing all the time is great fun, but hard on tires

Did you try clutch stop yet? I nearly gave up LWFW from stalling in stop&go. I put it in. Problem is nearly gone. Way easier to manipulate.

The new location is at the Westfield Plaza (the smaller of the two malls with the AMC theater in it) on Topanga

I'm hoping to attend this Sunday: Lamborghini Day should be nice

Next month the featured mark will be Porsche!! we should make a group event of hat one!

Richie, it was nice meeting you and your son last night. It would be nice to get together after you get the car dialed in to really compare the Tial 2860s I have Vs. your A28s. My seat of the pants opinion was that the A28s had the tiniest amount more lag with a bigger hit.

last year i heard there was drastic changes at SG so i decided to pay them a visit (i am glad i did). Dan is now involved with his customers once again. it was like home sweet home for me, i felt comfortable bringing my cars there once again or just to chit chat.
for those of u that use to bring your car to SG , u guys should pay him a revisit n for those who has never been there stop on by n check out the shop u'll be glad u did.
since then he has swapped out a couple motors for me but for the second motor he has gone out of his way to help me out which i can promise you that no one else can do what he did for me. i just wanted to show him my appreciation thats why i wrote this

thanx Dan for all the help.
Richie, Just curious...how does one get a new motor from Porsche? If one blows their motor, will Porsche send out a new one for replacement?

Kind of a loaded question..

I think Porsche will just send one and install it at a dealership if the accept the warranty. not like with most of us here...

Otherwise, Porsche remanufactured long blocks run about 18K. Not cheap, but it IS a new motor including headers, water pump, turbos, etc.. all new.

I heat that some upgraded but interchangeable parts from the 997TT are possible and likely given the fact that Porsche routinely upgrades otherwise unteachable parts between models.

both of my motors have no warranty. my latest motor came with 997 exhaust tips. all of the motor i've seen (reman) came with 996 tips. mine is different dont know why. my boost controller had to be turn down. boost controller: low boost was 54% now at 42% n still faster then before at low boost. high boost 64% now 52% but havent really got on it hard yet . these settings was done at evoms. also all of the other settings n so on..

Ari my turbos spool much sooner, u can hear them as soon as ur on the gas even at 1000 rpm. they just dont have the kick, but they keep on pulling. i thought they were laggier than my 2860s at first, but no they just keep on climbing. next wk u can feel it full potential (after the tune)

it was great meeting u also ari, we had fun. keep in touch
