Thanks for sharing your story and pictures. I might have to borrow your blue tape idea as I've come to the realization that I might have to travel out of State to pick up a Turbo next month.

hahah go for it!
the blue tape certainly did its job and im glad i took the time to cover almost the entire car. everytime we stopped for fuel or food someone would always ask about it.

no those were a few guys who were big on the mk1 forums on vwvortex. they picked up a b5 s4 in ny for a friend and drove it back to seattle doing pretty much the same thing. i wish i had more time to spend on the trip but we got home at 4am on sat and i had to be at work at 4pm the same day

Flying in America sucks. 90% of the time your flight is messed up and you have a middle seat. The ground crew are flight crew are surly at best because they been constantly f'd over by the companies they work for. Flight service get worse every year and fares keep going up with all the add on charges. I don't fly anymore if I don't have too. I just picked up a car in Sacto (500 miles from me) and did a one way rental to get there rather than fly with a plane change using two puddle jumpers.
