That'll show you the unit with the accumilator attached to it and where it is in the car.

Apparently he doesn't. He wanted me to keep driving the car to see if it keeps leaking pentosin, he never once warned me how flammable this stuff is. I'm sure if it was his car leaking pentosin on a hot engine he would deal with it differently. Doesn't say much for him or the shop.

I got a couple of slaves in my garage and just look at them to found a date of manufactured or some kind of info and nothing except part# and fabricated in Norway. How can you found the date of fabrication and do you know what kind of modification they did to improve slave longevity?

Sorry but I don't support internet brands.. they are the cancer of the internet...
Renntrack.com for the real content on this thread... Chuck, really, don't bother PMing me... I don't care and yes I'm breaking the "rules"... Lions and tigers and bears oh my!

Would you happen to have a part number for the slave.

Took the car to the track again and had Pentosin leaking out of the small valve on the steering reservoir in the rear on to the engine again. I siphoned some Pentosin out of the steering reservoir in the rear to lower the level hoping it would fix the problem but it didn't work.
I called the dealership and told them about my problem and they said it will be tough to diagnose since it only does this at the track, they said that they would have to find a way to simulate the situation when my car is doing this....how are they going to simulate my car going around a track!... do you guys think I should try changing the clutch slave like some have mentioned in this thread.

Yes id change it. As the slave is interconnected and is a known common problem there really isnt any other thing else that can be causing your problem outside of the accumulator or slave cyl components.
I cant say i'd be doing the job myself though. Its really a job for the P dealer or someone who has done this job before. I've heard its a bear of a job.

Bad slave for sure causing front to rear intermix of the pentosin.
GT2 conversion...Not a hard job... just tight space.
I've decided to do it with my clutch change. Right now I'm just nursing it around.

Take a look at this similar problem and answers that need to be looked at! http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...0153337AAGi3kQ

But the level, was it too high??? Higher than before you hit the track? I don't understand this problem because transfer of fluid from the front to the back never happen before, that i know, because the steering pressure from the steering pump is always present which is not the case for the clutch pedal pressure!!! But in any case if you do replace the slave lets us know if it fix something. How about this small valve on the tank. What is his function? Is it damaged or stuck open???

I'm not sure what the small valve on the rear steering reservoir is that has the green tag around it, but I'm guessing it's to relieve pressure when it gets to high in the steering reservoir system.
Do you think maybe it is the steering pump?

Before I went to the track the rear steering reservoir and the front reservoir were set at the MAX line so I siphoned the pentison out of both and set both of them to the MIN line so I knew they were not overfilled and went to the track and it still leaked pentosin out of the small valve on the rear steering reservoir onto the engine.
I'm not sure what the small valve on the rear steering reservoir is that has the green tag around it, but I'm guessing it's to relieve pressure when it gets to high in the steering reservoir system.

On my way back from work this afternoon I am going to try to blow air into that valve to see if it is blocked. You will do the same thing and found out if our cars are the same way. I suspect it should be blocked and only open in case of over pressure. But let see first if the valve is ok. If everything seems fine why not getting that fluid completely replace with new one. May be the fluid is contaminated and the boiling point is too low now..... Remember you only got that problem on the track when the steering system is in high demand.. Cheap first attempt to fix your problem.
The valve on my steering reservoir in the rear has a green tag around it and a small rubber or plastic cap on it that if you push down on it the cap will move down slightly them spring up to its original position, It seems to be working right because that is were the Pentison is coming out of when the pressure gets to high.
I also changed the fluid about 7 months ago so it should be fine.

I don't have this "spring up" valve device you are talking about. My valve is completely solid. The stem doesn't move and I tried to blow air into it and it is solid. And yes I am talking about the valve on the steering reservoir with the green flag ?????? Updated valve???? My car is a 2002....
