AMS Billet K16 2000mile base and 1.3bar Review

Not true in all cases. Stock clutch is pretty stout. I had stock clutch for 15 k ,500 awhp miles (6 k miles 16g and the rest on 18g). The clutch was perfect and wasn’t slipping even when I went for a replacement. I also had about 10 track days.
If I were to do it again, I would wait until the clutch slips to upgrade. I don’t baby my car , I do beat on it …its hard not to when you have alpha car around you.

I am 100% sure , i know the owner a Billionaire (not sure now after Madoff) Mutual fund owner who has Enzo’s, and everything under planet. This was one of his weekend driver and always garaged. He put 22k miles in 7 years with two track sessions. I bought the car with low 20k miles and it now has 37k. I have full dealer records for my car, plus we took the stock clutch out when my stage 3 went in.

As a reference, my OEM clutch went 53,000 miles with k16/flash/exhaust, then another 12,000 miles with K16/24's/flash/exhaust for a total of 65,000 miles with over 20 -1/4 mile passes and many hard launches over a 5 year period. It only started slipping after 6 months/12,000 miles with K16/24's. I think if I had remained with the OEM K16's/flash/exhaust it would have lasted a lot longer. The 16/24's did it in.
