Who will have the fastest 996TT this weekend?
#151
Chris, Todd, Eric, Jaime and Sean. Conrats on representing the Porsche community properly in an event where some of the worlds most respected cars and drivers go break records. Glad to see so many records broken today. It's a true testament to what a greast platform the 996/997TT truly is. After almost 10 years of R&D people are doing what was once impossible with a car that started out with only 415-450 crank hp. Mad props to each and every one of you.
Are you all running the mile next weekend?

Ben,
My pops would go but I have to get another Porsche 1st. His 04 GT2 has 3k miles, is completely stock and staying that way. The only thing he is interested in winning with that thing is the Porsche Parade full concours.
My M3 would likely not go faster than 140mph, so it's not worth bringing down there.

Hey Ben, thanks for your support today.

Really happy for you bud. I think you and I have probably pushed each other more than any other two people on the board with our own little hp war. I'm thinking you'll see a number beginning with 2 next weekend!
Looking forward to another weekend of schennanigans!

Thanks Eric,
As I stated in the other thread, you are a class act. I am just glad we all made it home safely. That car is one bad *** rig and anyone would kill to own it.
Toddimus,
Officer ______ is a great guy and a fellow enthusiast. I promised him I would stop street racing and he wants to come out to Cars and Coffee

I have less than 150 miles of driving time in the GT2 and the race against Sean was my second run in the car ever and the first time starting in 2nd gear. Heck - I just turned the boost up for the first time 10 minutes before we dyno'd it.
Yeah - 750 is a lot closer number than your dyno pull at Hennessy's (what was that anyhow). These cars are amazing. I'll let Powell continue to push the stock bottom end limits though.

Great - they post up me missing third gear and the cop video.
I have many hours racing my Z06 around road courses and have done the 1/4 mile a handful of times now. I have that car down cold.
