Unfortunately yes. I rebuilt the car from the ground up with every nut, seal, etc. factory brand new and built a dry sump motor yelled at by a motec. Of course it could be done for cheaper, but I wanted a 7 second show car. I could have built a really nice 6 second Mustang for the same money, but there were too many of those around. I like being the only import at our local 10.5 races.

Once we get it dialed in for the changes we made this past winter, we'll run 46 lbs and a 225 shot for the entire track.

no, it's a TH400 with a C02 shifter that we use when testing to remove driver induced shift point variables.

Wait aren't most of the fast Supra's heck alot of 7 second cars for that matter running the TH400? So whats the rest? Can you divulge it? 3.4 stroker motor? 101mm turbo? Virtual Works parts? HKS?
#71
No, most (if not all) 'unlimited' supras run a glide and a 91mm. Although VW makes nice intakes/headers, we're not using Dana's parts. No HKS 280 cams either, we went with a custom Crane grind. There's no one formula.

How did the race go against you at BL? Didn't they run a 7.59 at some point that day?

70lbs ? are you serious? damn...
