Word from a very trusted source of mine with saleen says...this Twin Turbo can go 0-220MPH in under a minute....any thoughts on this?

 

I don't think they are comparable. CGT is more civilized and built as a road supercar. Saleen is built as a race car then made into a street car.

 

well if the car can get to 100 in 6.5 seconds figure it takes twice that to get to 150, so 0-150 in 13 seconds. Then figure another 6.5 seconds to get to 175, so 0-175 in 19.5 seconds, another 6.5 to get 185, 0-185 in 26 seconds, another 7 seconds to 194, 0-194 in 33 seconds, another 7 to 200, 0-200 in 40 seconds. With that said, I could see the car going another 20mph in 20 seconds, assuming you could gain 1mph per second.

Does this sound at all like it could be accurate?

The un-official word is that the 05 Saleen S7 will sport twin turbos and 750+hp (this will help differentiate itself from the Ford GT (that uses the same engine and costs <1/2 the price.

Unofficial tests showed that it crushes the records set by the McLaren F1 and Enzo.

But $550k for a Saleen may be too steep and is encringing upon the upper echelons of prices. Resale and reliability are still unknowns for Saleen, whereas we all know the Enzos will hold their value for quite some time.

That it is...Why would anybody spend money on a McLaren when the 962 is out there and a lot faster??? If i were going to spend supercar money it would be on none other than the Dauer,,,,
