Floor Mats

I want some new floor mats.
I want a heavy carpet, 1 color for the mat, 1 for the binding, and the turbo logo in the script ( or as close to it as possible ) like Porsche writes it in the same color as the binding.

What companies have you all used? I have spent a lot of time in the last 2 days on the net searching for anyone and everyone that makes after market custom floor mats. Since I am about to spend $150 + and the items can’t be returned due to being custom I thought I would ask you all your opinion on what brands you liked or didn’t like and why.
Things like how well do they stay in place, fit, and hold up is what I am looking for?

The few companies that I have found that may work is GGBailey, I like the price but I’m not sure they hold in place? Next is autofloormatsdirect. Again I am not sure of them staying in place and qaulity. Then last would be Lloyds. They have the right logo but I am not sure about the fit.

What say you?

I have heard that TechArt makes the most "factory-like" set, but they're around $400. Lloyds is a good second, I believe. I plan on buying a set as soon as I pick which color I want. Give Automotion a call. They will send you as many carpet samples as you'd like. (They're 1" squares to get the color and feel.) I'd assume that other sellers of Lloyds will do the same.

To replace my OEM, I first bought a set of Lloyd mats (thick), matching interior color, different binding color with "Turbo" script. It got dirty so fast and I hated it. I then bought the black WeatherTech weather mats, all black... but I like them the best and they are almost perfect fits.

My car is a DD and the factory set has held up great. In fact, if they were the right color I'd keep them. I just don't like the sea of grey.
Did you scotch-guard them yourself to add any additional protection to keep them from staining?
Every car I buy I get new mats, scotch-guad the heck out of them, and then I'm mindful of having clean feet. Even to the point of having a piece of plastic in the floor on rainy days. I've never had a problem of keeping the carpet clean looking.
I had the rubber type weather guards in my Cayenne, they fit that application IMO. I just don't think it's the look I'm going for. If I lived closer to you I'd ask to sit in your car to get the feel of what yours look like from the position I'd be in w/ my own car. Thanks for the info regardless.

I have seen the Lloyds- they look great and the customization is nice for the price. I've paid almost double for a similar set for an M.B.

The owner of the car with the Lloyds loved them also.

I'm the type that thinks the mats are reasonbly replaceable and never taken good care of them, so no scotch-guard. I'm sure that's why weather mats suit me the best; they really don't look half bad.

If I have to pick between OEM and Lloyd, I think the OEM is better in quality; however Lloyd looks better when it is new.

Out of the 3 I put in the OP, Lloyds was the most costly buy about $40. GGBailey actually was the cheapest. Lloyds is also able to use any Porsche logo, most all others can't. To me having the right script turbo is important.
Thanks for the info.

LOL logo is just as important to me. If you think about if the wrong scripting doesnt match if can throw off the whole interior especially if the door sills have the correct scripting.

Nobody would probably notice but us 6speeders but it bug the hell out of me!

Big plus to the Lloyds mats are the bordering and many coloring options on top of this.

I purchased the Lloyd's Ultimats from CARiD.com recently. They offer numerous options for colors. The mats with my option combo cost me $107 shipped.

I am very pleased with the fit. The mat is contoured to fit around the seat tracks.

They come with anchors, but I have yet to install them. The mats do not move around much.

It might have been you who had a thread about changing your mats out to give the sea of grey a new look? If so, the was my insparation. I have a color combo for the mat that will tie into the 2 colors I'm adding more of to my sea of grey.

+1

My OEMs were dirty, worn, and falling apart. They are my track and winter mats. I bought a set of Lloyds from Autoanything with the Turbo logo. I installed the anchors. I have the same grey interior, not my favorite, but I wanted the Lapis Blue exterior.
