IB and Mikelly

I am doing my own maintenance since day one. I cannot afford to go to the dealer. And this forum is a must for me and other that are in the same awkward financial situation. A lot of people help me to stay away from expensive repairs and help me to learn about every technical aspect of the TT. One of them was Mikelly. He always show up with answers to any kind of problems I had. And he was able to direct me towards "inexpensive" way to fix them. I have learn a lot from this guy and his numerous posts and pictures! And being "independent" he's a very good critic which is an important aspect of this person.
This is a valuable member of this forum and I think we cannot afford to loose him....

I hear the guy that owns the Boost Logic Porsche pulls more wool then any Hollywood star!

I would like to point out that this is not the moderators but an IB policy that is behind this. Mike is a personal friend of mine and I am not happy that he has left the forum and have said so in the moderator forum. However I am powerless to do anything to change it. Mike has to be willing to meet the higher ups half way.

TBH... I was just thinking, who has not posted here for a while and there are quite a few names that pop into my head, real good guys aswell!!!

I can say on a personal level that Mike has helped me tremendously. If they start losing guys like him, who go out of their way to be helpful, spend their own money to do independent testing at the track and give solid informative feedback...these forums will be come a **** show with nothing but vendor feedback which is sales influenced, or a glorified classified section. It's a real shame, and IB is mistaken if they think there aren't about a half dozen porsche/exotic car forums that are waiting for this to happen.

60-130 and 1/4 miles can be achieved with a few intercooler "band aids" , the standing mile can also to a certain extent but certainly the EVOMS 236mph record is IMO the only credible display of intercoolers working at very high speeds (OK Bello also but he also uses band aids to keep his IATs workable) although I don't know that for a fact so will exclude them also

You are so obsessed with your American drag racing exploda motors that you miss the point - I was reffering to proper intercooler testing not drag racing, this is what the thread was about where my post got deleted.

Having been personally attacked and told by Mikelly that I had no business posting in the technical forums, I don't honestly have much nice to say about the guy. But I would be lying if I said that I didn't think the guy is a huge technical asset to this board. It's a shame he has chosen to no longer participate because he's a huge resource to this community.
But I do think his black and white attitude about it is wrong. I am a Porsche owner. I am an enthusiast. I am also a business owner of a Porsche based company. And if you ask around, I participate in the Porsche community at large way more than just selling my products. Mike made me feel unwelcome and didn't give a damn about the fact that I was a person. To him I was just a corporation who was inpinged on his internet playground. When I post in tech, I talk about the details of the topic at hand. If people ask me specific questions about my product, I will answer them. I don't post informercials in tech. That's tacky and that stuff belongs in the vendor classifieds. But Mike pretty much said as a vendor, the ONLY place that was acceptable for me to post was in the classifieds. And if that's the attitude of the majority of members here, you can bet that I will pull my sponsorship of the site and not give IB my business.
That said, I do agree with the sentiment that IB is too aggressive on protecting their site vendors and doesn't allow open discourse and discussion. I have had my posts, technical posts, removed on their other sites because they hit too many of their keywords. It was really ironic because not only was I not talking about my own product, I was praising the design and construction of a competitor's product and suggesting that the person in question should investigate those options. But that company, whose website I linked, wasn't a sponsor, so my post was removed. That's just ridiculous. It's censorship at a level that rivals the old CCCP. People should be free to discourse. They should be free post links to vendors who are not site sponsors that are offering products that you cannot get through a site sponsor. There is a balance point there and I think for IB to remain successful they may want to consider lightening up. Because the other thing that could drive me off as a vendor is that aggression. It's not friendly or comfortable for the users. It's not something that I want to be associated with.

Scott don't ban him, we need some comedy
OH, the IC KICK again. Boy you never give it a rest. I told you the last time to have RS Tuning buy all of the american IC's with the profits from one of their SECAN based IC's that retail for $20k and pay to have an independent test done on all of them. Really, when I buy a set of $20k IC's I expect a comparison to show my money is well spent. What if the test shows that the difference between secan and say Evoms, or Mrkski, etc is only 2-3%, is it really worth it on a street car? you keep on bringing this up, but the fact is that they have not provided anything. Also as for American drag race tuners as you say, they push the envelope and provide more research data than guys that give the same old thing year after year.

Toby (DINpower) is an extremely insecure, whiny, little girl that's been trashing 6-speedonline and her members on other forums for years now.
He continually spouts off about the superiority of European tuners, and in the inferiority of US tuners. He also claims that US tuners do not produce "real" Porsche HP. The only problem with this fantasy is the fact US tuners hold all the world Porsche acceleration records, and that even while using the magical $20k Secan ICs (BS)...the Euro cars don't make nearly the same amount of power that the US cars do.
I believe these facts anger him tremendously...thus explaining his penchant for attacking this forum and her members...since the world's fastest Porsches all reside here, with none of them using Secans.
Anyway, I do apologize for the interruption, guys. Had to take out the trash.
Let's get back on topic...
