Kevin
Congratulations on a very fast run! I commend you because it takes some big ***** to run over 200. It is easy to sit at the computor and critique but actually doing it when there is a cross wind is commendable!
Congrats

Thanks Rob.... Actually with a bit more power Tom and I both agreed that the cars were more stable today than last event even though there is a good crosswind.

Here are Kevin and Tom's 215 mph TX Mile plots (KPG on top). These two cars extremely close in performance.
Kevin beat Tom from 100-150 mph, but Tom beat Kevin from 150-200mph...and get this, they ran the exact same 100-200 time!
Kevin
100-150: 4.49
150-200: 9.59
100-200: 14.08
Tom
100-150: 5.03
150-200: 9.05
100-200: 14.08

Quick update from the pbox files....
I got two runs in...I broke the diff on the first run and could not get it out of second gear. I just slowed and pulled it out and threw it in third and finished the run at 207. We noticed a couple drops of oil under the car and thought the breather was leaking a bit not knowing it was a cracked case.. I did my second run starting in 2nd gear and did a 215. Even with a second gear start it did a 147.2 at 12.59 after a quarter mile and did 5.5 60 130 and 0-186 in 19.5 second. Pretty happy with the performance of the car even with a broken trans and an easy launch....
Tom did two shakedown runs at 212 and 215. On his 215 run he did a 146.7 at 11.88 after a quarter mile and a smoking 60 130 of 4.85!!!! 0- 186 was 18.22 seconds . All the files will be posted for all to see since once vividtx gives me back my internet aircard !

That's pretty cool to hear... Just FYI... the RS was filmed for a tv show a couple of weeks ago and did 175mph so not bad for all NA and an AIRBRAKE of a wing. We did _no_ tape etc... or anything like that. Just straight out run.

175 is impressive for that car, Alex!

Tom is still in the game for tomorrow morning, too hot and too crowded for anything else today....
#116
Thanks dude... I'll get the data for that stuff for you too etc... but it was done for TV (more on that later!) with a vbox.
Congrats pal... you did amazingly well. Stuff just breaks when you're forging new ground. That's what you guys are for. That way we know what to expect eh
Thanks Alex, we took a different look at what we wanted out of these cars in the powerband. They are much different than the cars we took to last event. Was I supposed to launch out of the hole in 1st gear with a broken diff?... actually, I didnt know it was broken but it makes for a better story...

Jags, thanks but these things happen. No whining or making lame excuses, it is what it is. I will go back again to FL or TX in the Fall and see what it does at that point. I dont kiss and tell about builds, sorry. I will say Tom and I did NOTHING close to you, Joe or Bryant.
