Help... Car will not start ! Only CLICK

Hi There,

I need some help. My 2004 994 TT Cab refuse to start for absolutely no reasons. I thought it was the battery so I bought a brand new one and had it fully charged/installed. When I turn the key to start, I hear a single "CLICK", coming from under the car, but not CLICK CLICK CLICK (like it does when low batt).... That Single click I hear is definitevely coming from the starter. Then, a message in the dash says "Error, check BAttery/Alternator"...

LAst week, we removed the engine to change the clutch, but I was able to start the car about 3 times since then (100miles)... (btw, I did press the clutch and the clutch switch is working properly)

Anyone know what can be my problem ?

Thanks

Hot lead to starter loose.
Bad starter.
Bad ground to engine.
Engine seized. Hopefully not.

Check the gound on the right side of the engine that goes to the frame.

I have seen ignition switches cause this also.

Starter may also be seized up, on a 'merican car you smack it with a hammer and it will sometimes spin over

Right side(pass side frame rail) by the coil packs I think its a 13mm that holds it. only reason I say this, is because you said you just had the motor out.

Did you try to flash the car gain and interupt it on the write process?
