Congrats on the bike. That is absolutely amazing.

That 1100 hp TT Ford GT must have been having problems. I'm not even close to that number and my 0-186 time was under 22 seconds.

I can't wait to hear some impression of the bike when you get it. Absolutely beautiful.

 

On that day, on that surface, these were the real results.. Excuse my mis-stating the HP.. it was 1000 HP, not 1100 hp I'm pretty sure that there were traction issues for the Ford GT, but even so... 17.21 vs 20.68 seconds.. The new BMW 1000rr is at 15.8x seconds..

I have already ridden the BMW a few times (dealers actually let you test ride the Bike, whereas you cannot get a ride on the Japanese brands) and it is mind bogglingly fast.. I am a long time Liter Bike rider and quite blase about speed in general, but this thing scared the crap out of me the first time I hit 14,000 rpm through 2nd, 3rd and 4th.. I literally forgot to breathe and my heartrate must have hit 190 bpm..

Rev limiter is at 14,200 rpm.. but the engine is good to 16,00 rpm..

 

Always some variables to consider but at the end of the day it doesn't matter as long as everyone was subject to the same conditions. That is just an incredible bike. Enjoy it and ride safe!

 

Thanks... I will post impressions when I pick it up.. It's tough having the double disease of Cars AND Motorcycles to deal with... My wallet occasionally goes on strike... kind of like the French Soccer team.

I find it scary with its "little" power (103HP)......how can you guys ride those MONSTER bikes??!!!200HP...on a bike...insane.

I have been riding and racing Motorcycles since I was about 12 years old. Liter Bikes make even a GT2 seem quite friendly and downright cushy..

 

Right!!! My car is fairly quick, but my stroker gixxer is downright angry.

 

this bike is in garage since April 2010 and the gt2 love it

 

All you guys that have GT2 and a speed bike are so lucky and love speed so much.NO FEAR

 

That's an interesting pic. Does anyone else think the bike looks like it's levitating? Must be new option I don't know about.

Funny thing is after spending $$ on 996 TT mods the price of these bikes seem like a bargain - lol
