Single BOV Installation

Single BOV Installation
I wanted to get opinions on this BOV setup. Im chasing down a boost or vaccum leak and replacing all hoses. Before I touch the F-pipe, I wanted see what you guys thought about replacing it with something similar to this setup from a post a couple years ago but with a straight reducing pipe to not look out of place.
Basically want to eliminate the F-pipe altogether and run a BOV venting 50% to atmosphere.

Well, I finally got the matching silicone hoses so I could make a new BOV connection and get rid of all of the rubber junk underneath. Here's a pic of everything that was pulled out:
What I did was order:
1 38-25mm 90deg reducing elbow coupler (connect to Y-pipe and BOV)
1 38-25mm straight reducer coupler (connect to intake and plug)
1 89mm hump coupler (connect to MAF and intake)
Rerouted some vacuum lines, and repositioned the BOV to a more adjustable position. Really happy with the outcome, plus I got rid of some useless solenoids in the process. I just hope my engine bay isn't too dirty for Oak

From what I've seen, most prefer to go with upgraded diverter valves and better F-hose at the same time. I'm not sure that there's anything to be gained by going to the single BOV setup., unless you're just looking for the BOV sound.
Maybe someone else can chime in here.

Personally, I have no idea what a BOV sounds like. I hear the youtube videos of the Jap cars that have BOV whistles, but dont know how this would sound with a normal BOV. I'm told it is great.
My goal is to build an easy to adjust system with little room for failure and I really like the look of the BOV setup as I dress up the engine bay

Fair enough then.
I would think that the easiest way to do this would be to get a "Y" pipe to connect to the old diverter valve intake Or single pipe and plug the other hole. Then connect single vaccum line in place of the old double line.
I have no idea how this will effect the MAF or ECU codes.

It's actually Dan @ vivid who is helping me right now with my "mini-build"
Another question is- Can anyone tell if the guy who did this mod originally replaced the flange between the MAF and the Intake for a specific reason or just to have another blue hose?

I use another brand of BOV. A 38mm single unit with option to adjust ratio of recycle-external blow. (I noticed bigger cross-section area than 2 OE combined.)
Work fine. And I had toxicated BOV sound that I missed back. (habit from 10y+ of driving mod japanese turbos.)

Jimmer did something funky with his. The BOV can be installed the same as stock, but you only use 1 unit. The BOV can be set to recirc 100% like a diverter valve or 50/50 to get that whooooosh sound without affecting MAF readings and having the car stall.
