I always thought that was the case too until I saw the Peterson White Lightning Race car being rebuilt in our shop. They run them as do other ALMS 996s...

hmmm, that is contrary with what a lot of discussion bd technical experts say - rolleyes. Peterson certainly has the credibility. I was looking into doing this some time back, but was discouraged. Guess I am not so discouraged any more.... he he

I'm totally with you or was... I talked to those guys for a while about it whilst they were here and looked over there car top to botton to search for tips and they told me to go for it

Anyways it makes for a nice remote resevoir hanger too:P

I'd always heard they were useless too because of the strength/design of the firewall. How did they convince you they weren't other than just saying "you need one."

Having ALMS cars in the shop with front strut braces changed my mind
