It seems that Guards Red is not an easy color to come by when shopping for a 996 Turbo. When I purchased my black 996 Turbo in early 2009, my original choice was Guards Red, but I found no coupes on eBay or auto trader. Any theories on why this great color is not as popular as black or arctic silver ? I hope to get another 996 Turbo coupe by this December and that would be my first choice. Arctic and Polar silver would be the alternatives.

 

It took me a while but I finally found a g.red in a conv. loved the color.

 

You have a beautiful car. I used to have a 2004 convertible 911 C4S in guards red ( wish it had been a turbo). Guards Red is such a great color. Hope I can find a clean 2002 guards red turbo in December.

 

It took me a little while to find mine but keep looking they are out there.

 

Your coupe looks great. I never, never see a red 996 Turbo on the road. Only silver or black.

 

Guards red is what I wanted as well! Could never come up with one other than one out west that had a accident report on Carfax. Loving the Artic Silver now . I was told most Germans don't prefer the bright flashy colors so not as many were made

 

Makes sense. Of course, Arctic Silver is still a beautiful color.

 

I wanted white, but tripped on my G. Red.

 

Nice. Guards red also looks great with the black trim and tinted windows.

 

I wanted white but got a SUPER deal on arctic. (plus clutch/maint. was just done)

 

It took me 6 months to find it and I had to fly to Florida and have it shipped up, but it was well worth it.
