window will not drop down 1/4" when door is opened, but

window will not drop down 1/4" when door is opened, but

when I push it down and close the door it does go back up to where it needs to be. If it where the relay would it still go back up. What else could it be?

do you hear the motor run to move the window for that 1/4" when you open the door?

My car was doing that too. I could hear the motor tray to pull down the window, but it didn't move.

mine too, but when I open the door from inside the window is staying down.

If you are looking at a DIY for the window regulator, there is a nice site made for a Boxter. It is the same assembly for the 996....http://www.bombaydigital.com/boxster/projects/window/
