Indie shops in/around Charlotte, NC?
Hey all,
I'm gonna be making the move from FL to Charlotte, NC in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a good mechanic to take care of my beloved 996tt
I'll ask over in regional as well, just trying to cover all my bases

Yes, Jack at http://www.eurowerks.us/ in Charlotte. I had him do a PPI, compression test, and leakdown for my 996tt purchase. He was a real pleasure to deal with and seemed extremely knowledgeable. Thier prices were also extremely reasonable, as the ppi/compression/leakdown and dropped in new plugs during compression for $296 total! That's under 1/3 of what Porsche wanted to do the same thing and no plugs.
FYI, I don't live in Charlotte, I just bought a car there though. Will pick it up 5/17. Can't wait!

There is a guy in Hickory who works for the Drendel Family collection.....Was a dealership mechanic for 20 years. Works on GT1, 917/30, 959, etc. My car is at the shop this very moment for a clutch, gt2 slave conversion, and a couple other goodies. Nicest group of guys you'll ever meet, guaranteed.....And the visual benefits when dropping off your car is unparalled....My car is literally 20 feet from the Bad Boys turbo right now!...Yeah, the actual one out of the movie. I can you all the contact stuff if needed.
