Removing the Door Panel - Help!

I'm trying to squash a rattle in the door panel and I have to remove the airbag cover to get at the last screw holding the panel on. The service manual says to remove the cover by prying with a screwdriver. I started doing that but it felt like things were tearing so I stopped after a couple of inches. Has anyone done this? I don't want to trash the thing, but I really need to stop the rattle. Thanks.

The only screw in this area is under the airbag logo that you have to pry out gently with a plastic spatula....

Really... After reading the article in the link you sent, it looks like the logo comes off and reveals the screw underneath. Is that not the case?

Yessss! I see where we are not connected together....You are mentioning the "whole cover" speaking of the airbag cover and when I talk about "the whole cover I mean the complete door cover....

Yes, I'm not trying to get the airbag out; I just want the door panel off. So, to be clear, I should be able to just pry the logo off to get at the screw right?

yes, just pry off the "airbag" logo to get to the screw (not the air bag covering itself). Btw, you may want to disconnect your battery so the air bag won't accidentally go off

Yes Slider... This small logo comes off but be careful to use a very thin tool , plastic is my preference....

Roger - no power to the airbag if I don't want bruises.
