Big thanks to Mike Kelly for taking time on his Saturday to help me with the install. This is so much smoother shifting than my B&M. Certainly the best shifter available right now. Highly recommended. Cheers

A short shifter should be the very first thing every single 997 owner does to their car! Such an amazing difference. enjoy!!

To a 996 owner, a 997 stock shifter is a short shift

the 996 stock one has a similar throw to an 18 wheeler.

997 shifter installed in a 996 seems to be all teh rage. Don't hear much about the 997 SSK in a 996. What's the scoop?

Installed my 997 SSK that I bought from Suncoast last week.
AWESOME. Just amazing difference from the agricultural B&M Trak Shifter I had. The 997SSK is quick, crisp, smooth. Not quite S2000, but as good as a remote cable shifter I've ever felt.
I was a bit of a skeptic... I mean, how much different could it be? Turns out... a lot.
Money well spent...which can't be said for all mods, but this one was worth it.

I agree Jeff. I have the 997tt SSK (bought it from the same place you did) in my 996tt too and it's a HUGE improvement. One of my best mods to date and I have a lot of mods.

Where did you guys order yours from? I'm thinking about doing this mod. I'm using a OEM 996 SSK right now.
