man im bumbed this happened to you ....... any advice to keep this from happening to any of us? is it just bad luck?

So sorry to hear this. Are all your keys accounted for? If so, I'd bet it was stolen with a tow vehicle. From what I understand if no keys were used, there is a very good chance it was stolen via towing. Good luck.

going down to the garage to make sure mine is still there!? Should they unwrap the car it should be easy to spot, not too many white ones running around. Sorry to hear....

bummer... hope insurance covers for the mods should it come to that.
hopefully the car was stolen to be parted out, but you can recover prior, that way just a window repair. if joyrided, and recovered, i wonder how much room insurance allows for claims on engine/drivetrain. good luck
