Transmission Mount Insert

Does anyone make a solid transmission mount insert for our cars? My rubber bushing has failed completely it's hanging by a thread. I'd rather get something more sturdy than go to the 997 piece. Just wondering if anything is out there.

Just get a tube of window-weld and fill it in. Their was a post not too long ago about doing this. Your going to get more vibration in the cabin as a trade off.

I don't care about vibration, I just want it done. I can buy another tranny mount if it becomes a problem. Is there a DIY?

I like that but I don't know if I trust that with a car that will be on the track. Can window weld stand up to differential heat and high loads? I think I'll go with something solid or factory, that looks nifty, but I don't think I'd have a lot of confidence in it. And I'm admittedly ignorant to the possible strength of window weld.

I've called a place that makes solid ones, and say they are in stock, but that they needed to find the pricing. It's been 3 days I've been calling back and no one can seem to find a price nor will call and tell me what's going on. AGGRAVATING!!!!!!

I figure with all the 996's/997's running track events/ racing etc. someone has to have these solid somewhere!!!! But they just have to actually be willing to sell them and not make them to look at.

I can make you one of these in delron. It would be far stronger and last longer than the OEM part, or any of the other solutions that I have seen here.

Let me know if I can help, cost would be about $100.00 plus shipping.

I'm game. Sounds like a better solution than the 997TT mount.

I bought some already, I can post up on how they look/feel when they get here early next week. Remember it's $100 per insert so it's $200 total.
