What is considered high miles on a 996 turbo?

I'm not an expert......yet but I consider myself well educated regarding our Porsches having owned a few. It really depends on the car's life. If for example it was a dedicated track weapon then 30000 is a lot. However, if it's a dd thats been taken good care of then it's a different story. I think at a minimum the 996tt has the longevity of a Japanese car like a Toyota or Honda. I truly think, aside from normal maintenance, these cars will run well over 250,000 miles. Even well modded, if done correctly and treated accordingly (that's key), this car will last for a very long time.

I was asking my mechanic about how much we can trick the car out and it still be reliable as a daily driver. He said, "Check this out" and went over to his 1000+ HP 996 TT shop car and showed me the mileage on it. It was over 90,000 miles. That was pretty impressive to me. I keep hearing these engines are bullet proof, I am starting to believe it. I think maintenance is what it is all about. So what if a car is tracked. If it is maintined in that accord, it is probably a good solid car.

Thanks for all the insight... I'm looking at a few with 48-52k miles, but came across a good deal on one with 69k miles. It seems a little higher then what I want so thats why I am asking. I will be using it as a dd and will be taking it to the track.
