Stock wheel paint match

I've got a '01 TT with stock wheels and picked up a tiny amount of curb rash (ouch!) about 2" long just on the outer edge maybe an 1/8" wide. Hit it with a little 400 wet and removed any gouges. Anyone out there have a paint match suggestion. I've used Testors model paint on other wheels in the past with decent results, hoping someone has a good tried and true option. Thanks for any help.

take your vin number and they should be able to pull up the paint code for the wheels if they came with the car...if you need to paint all the wheels just get the paint code and have a paint shop mix you up a batch..they can even put it in spray cans if you want...one thing I'm not clear on is whether the wheels came painted from the factory or if you want to paint them because one is damaged...my girlfriend had some minor curb rash on one polished wheel and I took it to a wheel repair shop and they made it look like new...couldn't tell where the rash had been...no need to paint

They're the stock original twists and I believe they are painted from the factory. Only slight damage to one. I've already smoothed out the area so I'll need to tape off and spray approx. 2"x1/8". Thanks again for the advice.

I'm planning on running over to a dealer later today to get the matched color as you suggested.

Wurth makes a wheel paint (silver) that matched my 2001 Boxster factory twist wheels. A little difficult to find, had to order it off the web.

+1--I actually sanded down and repainted an entire wheel with Wurth's silver wheel paint--it is (as far as I can tell) an exact factory match. They sell a clear coat too

Thanks guys, went to the Wurth web site and could not find any paint products. I just got back from Proformance Wheel in New Rochelle, NY close to where I live. They do custom rims and repairs and they suggested a Sherwin Williams Auto paint distributor who would match the paint via paint chips and mix it up on the spot, spray or bottle. I'll give that a shot. BTW, I called a local P car dealership and they we're no help.

I had a P car specialist re-do mine in Phoenix and they turned out perfect.
