No, you dont need standalone to go mafless, all you need is tuner who can remap stock Motronic ECU for such conversion, but its of course possible and already done many times, soon there will be solution for 997tt too

Why wouldn't it work? According to wiring diagrams it's as simple ( or difficult ) as any other MAF-equipped car, no CAN-bus wires or similar rocket science there. Bad news for tuningbusiness...

To wire such piggybacks like MAFTPRO to car like Porsche is.........like to mount Light Windscreen Washers on it
But seems that noone have experience with MAFTPRO, so i can assure you that ist not so easy to tune but with it is so easy to made the car to run like crap

Lots of talk.. very few results.... and its been 10 years....
there are maf solutions that do a good job... for those not running 1000 hp I think its useless and your asking for nothing but trouble...

Steve, going MAFless at a 500-600rwhp system is not needed. I know that the AP 50% BOV and 50% recirculatory setup will make some of the noise you are looking for. As far as the BIG sound like I have with my 2x 50mm TiAL BOVs will require at LEAST a Protomotive Ford blow through MAF, and in the fender intake pipes. Then you can do the 50mm TiAL's like Nick (unvmym3) and myself have.
