the black car at the top is a gt2.. the last guy put the 997 front on it.. silly boy.lol gt2 is a gt2 , it should be left alone. we was lucky to have the gt2 front on my car, and to put the gt2 back to how it should be. the gt2 be up for sale, as soon as it's done.. 2003 996 gt2 14000miles , 550bhp . lovely car, will be looking for around 50k. the 996 turbo i got as a cat -d , but it should not be on a cat d, the last guy that had the car was hit in the off side.. easy fix ,, but at the end he told the insurence that he did not want the car back.. its went to court and he won. he said why should i have a car thats been in a crash when it was not my fault.. porche in london looked over the car its 100% , and it drives lovley i saved 10k ..

How do the turn signals, fogs, and all that work...and any difference in feel at high speed...is the downforce still there?

And, can you put a gt3 or other (see gmg site) lip on the new front end.

TIA

from what i have gathered from the conversion...

for a 996 to convert to a 997 front only.

you need

headlights
fenders
hood
front bumper
front bumper brackets
front bumper leds

i dont know what its like overseas, but im unfamiliar with the 997 front end on your car?

this is a gt2 997 front

this is a gt3 997 front

this is a carrera 997 front

either way, looks like good work they did. what wiring issues did you run into?

to tackle the rest of the car is the challenge. grafting 997 rear quarters, i/c ducts, tails, bumper, etc is major $$$.

when i inquired about it last year, the conversion including repaint for total 996wb to 997wb is running about 23k usd not including mirrors and door handles.

We offer the front end conversion. It consists of our fenders with all other parts being OEM 997 including the hood, headlights, bumper and turn signals. It is an expensive mod and is rarely ever worth doing unless your car was in an accident.

those considering this mod, dont forget to address the fender liners and radiator ducts...

Man, I hope they did not modify the GT2 radiator locations etc to fit the 997 bumper, otherwise it may be a pita to get the GT2 nose back on.

Where's the GT2 "after" pic?

So, you now have a silver 996 Turbo S with a 997 front end, and

a blue/black 996 GT2 with the 996 GT2 front end.

Right?
