How hard is it to convert TIP to 6 Speed?

There is a lot of advice to sell on this post. I wonder if those who's advise to sell own a 996tt and just have too much cash. I bought my 996tt Tip from a Porsche (uk) garage and paid £56,00 May 2007. I have spent another £7,000 ( so far)on it with tuning bits, ecu upgrages, Turbos etc etc . It is worth at this moment £28,500 to £30,000. Dont know about the rest of you but thats a chunk of money to loose. . i'm sure there are many more like me that would loose loads if the sold. The UK second hand market has collapsed.
I got £28,000 for my CayenneTurbo in 2007 which I paid £52,000 for in 2005. Never again. I intend to keep this one.
Thats just my thoughts anyway. There is no right or wrong.
Frank.

So, let's talk how much?
Anyone have a 6 speed out there? I'm sick to death of people bashing my car because it is a TIP... all I hear is BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!! The TIP's are FAST cars, 6 speed drivers can say all they want, they are not as fast as a computer when shifting.
SO, I'm considering a change to a 6 speed.

True .. well just demod it, sell, and put the mods back on what you lose is labor cost x2

I personally like the TIP, like I said, side-by-side a tip car WILL win 9 out of 10 times because no matter how well some think they can drive, they cannot outdrive the tip engineering.

To simply get an answer. I am a little surprised that no tuners jumped in on this thread, it has been done, the question remains: How much will it cost?

Nothing constructive to add, other than I know there are/were some threads about this, but too lazy to look now. I think it is a LOT more work than most think as there is an extra computer (TCU), wiring, tranny mount is different and probably more. it's not impossible, but probably way more work than one would want to put in a car like this?

nothing is impossible !!
but to sped a lot of money to transform the car form tip to 6speed, is better to sell your car and lets say that the money you will put in the transformation of the tip you could buy a newer 6speed.

If I had to take a guess, you are looking at around $20k to do it right. If I recall correctly, few years back, there was a thread about someone needing to replace his transmission due to 2nd gear pop out. I think the cost of the transmission was around $12k.
Not sure if this $12k for the transmission included the clutch, flywheel, etc. If not, add the price of those parts into the equation.
Roughly $700 for the shift boot and shifter?
New instrument cluster... or maybe new gauge faces to cover the gear indicator lights.
ECU flash, around $1,500? A lot more if the ECU is different and you need to source one.
Adapters and new transmission mounts... $1k?
Cost of adding the third pedal, $???
Labor to put it all together, $???
I am sure I am still missing some things here and there. So my $20k estimate might not be too far off.

I've seen some videos of Porsche Tips. They don't shift that fast. There are many here that can shift a manual as fast or faster than the Tipronic. HOWEVER, more importantly, they also don't lose boost between shifts.
